Jinfonet Software has just released JReport 15, a productive BI platform used widely by OEMs and in a corporate setting. The press release is below:
Jinfonet Software, a leading embedded analytics and reporting software provider, announces the general availability of JReport 15. This latest release offers breakthrough innovations in streamlining report and visualization creation. Report developers will now enjoy a simple, efficient look-and-feel to JReport Designer as well as improvements to major workflows in the configuration and creation process. These new capabilities provide developers with greater flexibility in serving the analytics needs of users who demand powerful data insights.
Intuitive Design Interface.
Developers are what make embedded reporting, visualization and analytics possible. JReport Designer 15 features a new user interface that expands Quick Start reporting, making it more intuitive for developers to connect to data sources, build queries, configure data models, and create reports and visualizations. Visualization properties are easily adjustable through a searchable inspector. Built-in templates for data source setup are now extendable and customizable. Contextual hints assist developer workflows and guide them to build anything from advanced, interactive visualizations to precision, pixel perfect complex reports.
Design and Deploy KPIs Everywhere.
Continuing our mission to provide the best visualizations, KPI creation gets a major boost. Developers and users can now create ad hoc KPI widgets by using templates and picking measures for automatic computations displayed in a proper format. Optional trend charts and one-click styling further enhances the KPI visualization. These KPIs can then be dropped into a dashboard and mashed up and synchronized with other visualization widgets. Similar to other widgets, KPIs can also be shared across other dashboards.
“Giving developers the best tools possible to deliver critical reporting and analytics capabilities has always been a core part of our mission. JReport 15 represents a huge leap forward in helping developers implement their application’s analytics requirements,” said Dr. Bing Yao, CEO at Jinfonet Software. “We are committed to providing not only the easiest interface for end users to build their own visualizations, but also the easiest developer tools for creating sophisticated mission critical reports.”
“JReport Designer becomes even more powerful and easy to use with JReport 15. Report developers will truly appreciate the added workflows and functionality along with improved UI,” said Tony Smith, Software Development Manager at Cory Brothers Shipping Agency. “This further validates our decision to embed JReport’s advanced reporting and visualization capabilities into our SaaS application.”
